Comet was out of Champagne's last litter and lived until 3 months shy of her 14th birthday. She was diagnosed with lymphoma less than three months before that but was amazingly healthy until just 3 days before we lost her of renal failure.
Comet finished completely breeder owner handled with a 5 point specialty major at the Sandlapper Specialty. She then went on to complete her WC as she was already a duck hunting companion for my son.
Unfortunately, Comet never conceived when bred, which is unfortunate as she is quite possibly
the smartest Golden I've ever owned.
Comet lived most of her life with my kids (who all live here on our land) and
is a much loved dog who has touched the hearts of many! Known as Cometpower by many, she was quite the clown and a joy to live with. Be sure to watch her video for a little glimpse into who she was. This was recorded 2 months before we lost her.
